JOB OVERVIEW A leading real estate development firm in Ghana is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee its financial operations. This role is central to the company’s success, as the Accounts Manager will be responsible for maintaining financial transparency, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, driving effective financial planning, and providing leadership in budget execution and reporting. The position requires a professional who can manage complex financial systems while supporting the company’s large-scale housing and infrastructure projects.

This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious and detail-driven finance professional with a strong background in accounting and financial management. The Accounts Manager will play a key role in safeguarding the company’s financial integrity while working closely with cross-functional teams, including Projects, Procurement, and Legal, to achieve organizational goals. RESPONSIBILITIESThe Accounts Manager will lead initiatives across three key pillars: Financial Planning, Budget Execution, and Financial Reporting & Compliance. FINANCIAL PLANNING Develop annual and project-specific budgets in collaboration with senior management. Provide reliable financial forecasts and cost-control advice to support ongoing and upcoming projects.

Align financial planning processes with the company’s broader strategic objectives to ensure sustainable growth. Identify potential financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies. BUDGET EXECUTION Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage payroll, taxation, statutory payments, and other financial obligations in line with regulatory requirements. Oversee banking operations, cash flow management, and investment activities. Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded, categorized, and reported through established accounting systems. Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.

FINANCIAL REPORTING AND COMPLIANCE Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and performance reviews on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Monitor compliance with Ghanaian financial regulations, international accounting standards, and internal policies. Conduct internal audits to assess financial health and operational efficiency, while coordinating with external auditors as required. Recommend improvements to accounting systems, processes, and policies to enhance financial governance. RequirementsEducational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA are highly desirable. Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in financial management or accounting.

Proven track record in managing complex financial transactions and systems. Previous experience in real estate, construction, or related sectors will be an added advantage. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software. In-depth understanding of financial regulations, statutory compliance, and reporting standards. Ability to analyze financial data, prepare forecasts, and make informed recommendations. Personal Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage competing priorities. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
