Company Vehicle, tool allowance, Health spend account.Reports too: Production ManagerSummary of Position:You will actively participate in the success of residential custom construction projects. The Lead Carpenter is responsible for performing any labour i.e. demolition, carpentry, footings, framing, finishing carpentry, clean up and any other tasks necessary to successfully complete the project as directed by the Production Manager. Understand instructions, change orders and all other carpentry and job related documents.Be in charge of the labour on site, in such that you are driving production for our crew. You are scheduling tasks, assigning duties to crew members and requesting man power and materials from the Production Manager as required.Maintain daily contact with the Production Manager.You are responsible to identify and maintain any and all areas that will require site protection.Be able to maintain schedule as related to carpentry, assist Production manager with maintaining overall project schedule.Be able to maintain budget as related to carpentry. Assist Production manager with overall project budgets as needed.Your role to be in charge of the carpentry and all self preformed work by Rusch as per the project, assist with overall site management, sub trades and schedules as needed by production manager.Site Takeoffs/Measure’s and Order materials and coordinate subcontractors with Production Manager. Fill out weekly plan for your jobsite and submit at weekly meetings. You must plan ahead for timely material delivery related to carpentry/Rusch preformed work and subcontractor start dates.You are responsible for the site. It is your site while you are the Lead and as such you need to be concerned and aware of all aspects of it.You are required to be accountable and to hold accountable all involved on the site. This includes your crew and any sub-trades. Monitor quality, and motivate crew and if there’s something you unable to resolve involve Production Manager.You are responsible for reporting late subcontractors, discipline problems, problems with schedules and keeping the Production Manager informed of job statusYou are responsible to ensure that your crew is fulfilling their duties as described in their job descriptions.You are required to greet and introduce yourself as the Lead Carpenter to everyone on site. No one is to be on site without first having met with you. You are to explain the rules of the site to all newcomers. You are to inform all trades that they are to check in with you before they start work and again before they leave the site.You are required to LEAD by example.You must be able to communicate effectively with the Production Manager, customers, whole Rusch Team and the sub-trades.Understand the scope of the work and discuss all requests for additional work with the Production Manager and Sales Staff, ensure customer is aware of AIR Forms for additional workYou need to be available and prepared to meet with the Production Manager at the beginning of each project and weekly throughout the projects you are working on. The purpose of the meeting is to establish the specific responsibilities and expectations of your roles on the project.You are responsible for recording a daily summary in Buldertrend: Job Log, including people on site, conditions, and any important information that we may need to look back on.Act as a customer liaison throughout the project. Speak knowledgeably and honestly with the customer. Provide solutions to their questions, soliciting help from the Production Manager and Sales Staff when necessary, Attend weekly site meetings with customer and design/Production Manager.You need to record your activities and mileage daily on timesheets, using Buildertrend.Normal hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. A paid 15 minute break in mid-morning and another 15 minute break mid-afternoon.
