Our cutting-edge supply chain technology pairs with the expertise of our brilliant minds to empower logistics execution across North America and Mexico.Leveraging a comprehensive range of services, data-centric network solutions, and a seamlessly integrated platform, we have established our prominence as a key player in the mid-market segment within the freight tech industry.Whether you’re just starting your career or are an established professional looking for your next opportunity, Redwood inspires innovation across teams to provide transformative solutions for our customers.Purpose Of Your WorkAs a Carrier Development Representative, you will play a crucial role working within Redwood Multimodal (one of our business units) by identifying, sourcing, and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction as well as understand and execute Redwood operation excellence.How You Make a Difference EverydayExpand knowledge of transportation industry within carrier sales and Redwood operationsBuild and maintain new and current strategic carrier profiles through research and networking and aligning Redwood truckload sales opportunitiesActively engage carrier partners primarily by phone, targeting 80+ dials per dayBuild understanding of macro-market conditions and how it has an impact on truckload rates and capacityLearn to and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers in an effort to maximize profitability on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basisCoordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment, while utilizing Redwoods internal postingsConsistently provide service and support to motor carriers in an effort to build the business relationshipLearn and execute to Redwoods level of exceptional customer service and resolve issues timely when neededTrack and monitor shipments to proactively address any issues or delays during transitVerify all freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, and resolve all payables discrepancies prior to final payment to motor carrierMonitor Bill of Lading discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity is arranged, as necessaryResearch, contact, and develop new carrier relationships to leverage a portfolio of carrier networks to introduce new capacity to customer sales opportunitiesYou’ve Got This?Bi-lingual in English/Spanish; proficient level for verbal and written communication1-2 years of business experience in a bi-lingual environmentExcellent communication, networking, negotiation and problem-solving skillsResults-drivenThrives in a fast-paced environmentFlexible; ability to change focus quickly to meet the demands of market conditions and/or company needsSales, foodservice industry, or similar experience a plusWhat We OfferAccess to experts and resources for your Learning & Development journeyOpportunity for internal mobilityEmployee referral bonus programEmployee Resource Groups (ERGs)Annual fundraising and volunteer events to give back to communitiesLife Insurance policy for you starting 30 days after employmentPersonal Health Insurance coverage for you – Major Medical30 days “Aguinaldo” Christmas bonus or prorated percentage your first yearVacation time starting at 12 days.
