The company is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany and has about 87.000 employees in more than 100 locations worldwide.Job DescriptionLeadership▪ Leader of a team of SQM project engineers + category SQMs▪ Develop skills and competencies of the organizationSupplier Advanced Quality Planning▪ Escalation at Business Area/ Segment level for critical topics during component introduction▪ Early risk identification and mitigation, management of component introduction within the project▪ Implement and control the efficiency of the defined Component introduction process (procedures, guidelines and tools)▪ In case of project related deviations of processess and or KPIs initiate corrective actions▪ Give input to initiate supplier Improvement programsSupplier Quality Management▪ Drive the Continental Supplier Quality Management System, measures and improvement activities within the project▪ Implementation and execution of consequent supplier management activities to track any quality deviation and time deviation during component introduction phase▪ Drive BA internal coordination in case of supplier related quality alerts before Start of Production (SOP) and guide/support plant SQM Manager after Start of Production (SOP)▪ Support BA-PUR, BA-Quality and SQM BA with customer meetings for SQM topics during component introduction phase:Supplier Strategy / Cluster Management▪ In line with Continental Global Quality understanding "Quality First", strive and drive Zero Defect requirement to the supplier base▪ Ensure Best in Class "consistent and sustainable" supplier quality performance to support perfect launches and no spills with zero defect tolerance requirement▪ Support strategic Business Area/Segment SQM roadmap in alignment with overall SQM strategic plan▪ Support SQM supplier strategy for BA projects and early escalation to SQM BA in case supplier strategy is not kept by BA▪ Plan with Advanced Purchasing (AP) and SQM Component Introduction (CI) / Central Component Introduction (CCI) and track / support execution of Supplier Component Review (SCR)▪ Drive feasibility of two or more suppliers, ok to sourceSupplier Performance▪ Contribute to reach the Continental, BA, Segment and local business- and quality targets and to optimize the efficiency of the purchasing, quality, R&D and logistic processes▪ Coordinate and drive escalations for area of responsibilityReporting▪ Contribute to the supplier quality related report about the projects▪ Drive KPI management (ME on time, SCR/FC green, RED APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) reduction, R@R green, PSW (Part Submission Warrant ) right on time first time)Project Management▪ Project core team member to represent SQM and participate in project kick-off / Project Acceleration by Coaching & Teamwork (PACT) workshop▪ Lead involvement of SQM and suppliers along with the project team from early project phase on with focus on critical components (support ESI = Early Supplier Involvement)▪ Align sourcing planning with Advanced Purchasing (AP)▪ Drive assignment of SQM Component Introduction (CI) /Central Component Introduction ( CCI) to each new component▪ Lead and drive component introduction risk analysis and manage assure mitigation plan between SQM Component Introduction (CI) (supplier) and project Engineering team. Review and approval of Responsibility Matrix in case of customer directed supplier/component during quote phase▪ Guide (customer) requirements review for purchased components▪ Drive the team to identify critical and long lead time components and drive Maturity Evaluation▪ Initiate escalation and corrective actions in case of deviations, e.g. the project schedule or component quality requirements can't be met▪ Track and document component introduction status and report to Project Team / PM▪ Drive and support the team for the entire project milestones (PLC gates) on time▪ Provide the answers to all SQM related gate review questions for every gate▪ Responsible that all components are PSW (Part Submission Warrant) released completely before G70Escalation Management▪ Drive escalation management regarding SQM topics for BA specific cross-product family / customer cases as neededQualificationsDrive escalation management regarding SQM topics for BA specific cross-product family / customer cases as needed> 5 years of experience in different SQM / production / Customer Quality functions/ professional experience in quality function and/or in project management preferably in automotive industryExperience with supplier management, continuous improvement, quality assurance, industrial engineering, production, escalation managementExperience in working & coordination of international teams on quality and project issuesUnderstanding for different foreign cultures (NA / Asia, several European cultures)Additional InformationReady to take your career to the next level?
