This is a high-impact, regional role based in Copenhagen, Denmark, offering the chance to shape procurement strategy within a dynamic, international business environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Marketing Category Manager, you will be instrumental in driving value and efficiency across critical spend areas, including Agencies, Production, Market Research, Events, and POSM. Your core focus will be to ensure the best possible return on investment and secure top-tier quality services for the business.Regional Strategy Development: Define and execute robust regional category strategies within the defined scope, identifying and capitalising on opportunities for spend optimisation.Sourcing & Best Practice Leadership: Spearhead regional sourcing initiatives and develop innovative tools, processes, and best practices to enable more efficient investment across various markets.Global/Regional Deployment: Collaborate closely with the Global Category Procurement team to successfully deploy overarching global strategies across the European region.Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, collaborative relationships with key senior global, regional, and local stakeholders, as well as procurement teams, to ensure successful strategy delivery and realised efficienciesKey RequirementsThe successful candidate will be a proven leader with deep expertise in strategic procurement within the Marketing and Sales categories.Experience & Track Record: A minimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience in Marketing & Sales Procurement, with a demonstrable history of success in category strategy development, spend optimization, and project execution.Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation and contract management skills are essential, coupled with solid financial acumen and expertise in developing robust business cases and conducting ROI analysis.Strategic & Influential: You must be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging senior stakeholders and influencing cross-functional teams to drive change.Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a Master's degree in Procurement, Marketing, or Sales being a significant advantage.
