Center Store Category ManagerAre you a successful Center Store Category Manager ready for a new challenge?Here is an exciting, fast-paced,in-office opportunity to work for a dynamic, expanding c-store company!As the Center Store Category Manager, you will leadthe strategy, selection, and placement of snacks, candy and general merchandise in the company's stores which vary in layout and size as well as location - rural, metropolitan, suburban, etc.Leverage yourdata analytics expertise to make informed decisions on sales, profit, market share, and inventory, working with suppliers and brokers to negotiate deals and execute promotional plans.The goal is to optimize the use of precious shelf space and deliver an appealing product assortment that meets customer demand and drives revenue growth!Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:Develop annual category plans and financial projections to meet sales and profit goals. Product Management:Select and manage products within their categories, including introducing new items and de-listing underperforming ones. Space Management:Work with space management teams to create effective planograms that maximize the profitability of shelf space. Data Analysis:Use tools like Excel and Power BI to analyze sales data, customer trends, and competitive information to make data-driven decisions. Supplier & Broker Relations:Meet with brokers and manufacturers to negotiate deals, support promotions, and manage billing. Inventory Management:Oversee the ordering and display of products, ensuring product availability from buy to point-of-sale. Communication:Communicate with store personnel, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and identify opportunities.Background Profile:Proven success in a similar Category Management role with specific expertise in convenience stores - product trends, customer behavior, space optimizationStrong ability to use data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions. Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and brokers to secure favorable deals and promotions. Capacity to develop and execute strategies that align with company objectives and drive growth.
