Job Description

Our portfolio is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and experienced Category Merchandiser to spearhead their beauty category. This is a pivotal individual contributor role responsible for the end-to-end merchandising lifecycle, from brand acquisition and partnership to strategic curation and performance management.The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for these categories, a strong network of brand contacts, and a proven ability to build a compelling and commercially successful product assortment that resonates with our target audience and drives business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesBrand Acquisition & Partnership:Identify, prospect, onboard, and launch new and exciting local and international brands that align with the company's brand identity and business strategy.Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key brand partners and stakeholders.Product Curation & Assortment Planning:Develop and execute a strategic product assortment for the Beauty, Fashion, and Lifestyle categories, leveraging market trends, customer insights, and competitive analysis.Ensure the product mix is balanced, compelling, and optimized for sales, margin, and inventory turnover.Brand & Account Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for all partner brands within the assigned categories.Conduct regular business reviews to analyze performance, identify opportunities, and drive mutual growth.Act as a brand advocate internally, collaborating with marketing and creative teams to ensure effective brand storytelling and promotion.Merchandising Strategy:Develop and implement the overall merchandising strategy to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, margin, and sell-through targets.Plan and execute promotional calendars, including seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and exclusive collaborations.Negotiation & Trading Terms:Lead negotiations with brand partners on all commercial aspects, including margins, marketing support contributions, exclusivity agreements, payment terms, and stock management.Secure the most favorable trading terms to maximize profitability while maintaining strong partner relationships.Merchandising Operations:Oversee the operational aspects of merchandising, including product information management (PIM), pricing strategy, purchase order creation, and inventory monitoring.Work closely with the operations and planning teams to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient product flow.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or a related field.A minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in merchandising, buying, or category management, specifically within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle retailProven track record in brand acquisition, partnership management, and successfully launching new brands.Strong negotiation skills with demonstrable experience in securing favorable commercial and trading terms.Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.Deep understanding of the Indonesian retail landscape, consumer trends, and competitive environment.A self-starter who is proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must; experience with e-commerce platforms and analytics tools is a strong plus.Has a genuine passion for and is an avid follower of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle trends.
