Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.CH-47 Chinook Mechanic I Responsibilities IncludeResponsible for performing progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar scheduled inspections according to all applicable technical publications and regulations.Responsible for repairs and maintenance on aircraft systems and subsystems, to include the lubrication of required components and the removal and installation of aircraft subsystems, using special tools and equipment as required.Completes diagnostics and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft subsystems; maintains aircraft technical publications, historical forms, and records relative to aircraft maintenance.Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their componentsInspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operationRead and understand mechanical manuals and schematics and read and interpret all instruments.Utilize AMSS to manage aircraft use and operations, maintenance, and repair operations and to maintain aircraft to the Army standardPerforms other job-related duties as assignedCH-47 Chinook Mechanic I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities RequestedHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Army 15 series course graduate required or branch equivalent .2-4 Years Of CH-47 Chinook Mechanic Experience Required.A/P certification preferred.Is required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable position.Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.Company InformationMust pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee FederalCherokee Nation Armored Solutions LLC, CNAS provides support, services, and solutions to federal and commercial customers.
