Location: Brisbane City, QLD | Employment Type: ContractThe OpportunityWe’re partnering with a state utility supplier responsible for critical services to over 3 million people across South East Queensland. This organisation is seeking an experienced Change Manager to deliver change across an IT project impacting technology, business and stakeholder processes.You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering high quality, fit for purpose and effective change management strategies, influencing the successful implementation of key project and organisational outcomes.Key Responsibilities:The Change Manger role focuses on supporting technology-driven transformation by planning and executing structured change management across people, processes, and systems. These duties are designed to reduce resistance, align stakeholders, and ensure the successful adoption of new technologies and ways of working. This role will see you:Deliver successful change outcomes across key IT and digital transformation projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.Develop and implement tailored change management strategies and plans integrated into overall project delivery.Lead and mentor junior change practitioners, supporting their development and contribution to project outcomes.Lead and develop impact and readiness assessments to identify risks, resistance, and support needs across business units, teams, and individuals.Design and coordinate communication, engagement, and training initiatives to drive awareness, capability, and adoption of new systems or processes.Partner closely with project teams, business leaders, and stakeholders-both technical and non-technical-to ensure cohesive and effective delivery.Provide coaching and guidance to senior leaders on effective change practices that enable positive outcomes for people, customers, and the organisation.Facilitate constructive dialogue and resolve challenges with stakeholders to maintain alignment and momentum.Monitor, evaluate, and report on change effectiveness, incorporating feedback and tracking benefits realisation to ensure sustainability.Provide post-implementation support, including coaching, troubleshooting, and reinforcement activities to embed change over time.About YouYou’re a proven Change Manager that brings:6+ years’ experience delivering end-to-end change management within IT, digital, or technology-driven projects in large, complex organisations.Direct experience in transformation projects covering new systems, large-scale process changes, technology upgrades, and/or IT regulatory compliance.Experience working collaboratively with leaders (C-suite or Heads-of), technical teams, and frontline staff in a matrix or cross-functional structure.Strong understanding and application of best-practice change methodologies (Prosci, ITIL, Agile change frameworks), with formal certification highly regarded.Demonstrated ability with all phases: impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, readiness planning, communications, training, and benefits realization.Highly developed communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills; proven ability to influence outcomes at all levels.Demonstrated experience coaching peers, and supporting a culture of agility and continuous improvement highly regarded.
