CHANNEL SPECIALIST / SALES REP- FMCG

My Client has some of the best brands in the FMCG marketplace and due to a re-structure are now looking for a Channel Specialist/ Sales Representative to join the business. This role will cover the Dublin- Midlands region and to succeed in this role , you must be self-driven and commercial and comfortable with autonomy.Why this opportunity In this position, you will report to a fair and supportive Chanel Manager- Patrick is very personable and has been with the business for over 15 years. He said “My approach Denis; If you make a mistake move on and I like the Channel Specialists/ Sales Reps to have a pro- active approach and come to me with ideas and behave and act like a leader. - There is an element of structure to the role – with 5- 8 calls a day and I really like to see the team looking for new opportunities; to sell more of what we have and really cement customer relationships in their respective region, As you know, there are fair and attainable targets and full bonus ( circa 15-20%) are regularly paid out to the Team and out of all the Divisions in the Group; we are the best performing Team”** For this role, you must have at least 4-5 years Field Sales rep experience and a full drivers licence – and FMCG experience is must- and if you have experience of calling in to state bodies, hospitals, big blue companies that would certainly be advantageous ** Salary is circa 50,000 and comes with a strong package- Patrick the Hiring Manager is a massive sell to this role !Key ResponsibilitiesManage new and existing business & industry customers to achieve quarterly sales targets and company KPIs.Proactively cold call to all New Business opportunities.Continuously develop an understanding of the market in which you will operate.Increase business within existing clients through range expansion, training, promotional activity and customer support.Preparation of proposals, presentations and P&L reports for New business.Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customer portfolio by agreeing call cycle and call process.Report on your territory at team meetings monthly, to include sales update, new business targeted / landed, promotional activity, competitor activity and any relevant company initiatives in place.Take lead on service and support enquires for your territory to ensure satisfactory customer resolution.Ensure your customer orders are processed and that deliveries are made in full and in a timely manner.Attend training sessions to further educate on problem solving around our equipment portfolio, with the aim being to solve minor troubleshooting issues.Key RequirementsIdeally 3-5 years+ experience in B2B Sales with a proven track record meeting and exceeding targets.A strategy around New Business hunting and existing business growth.Strong presentation & negotiation skills.Relevant IT skills / knowledge.Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationship through commercial awareness and positive business attitude.For more information please contact Denis Mac Sweeney on 087 977 2742 or email Denis at denis@amicus.ie .
