Position SummaryWe are looking for a Chassis Control Lead Engineer with strong expertise in one or more vehicle control domains , including Thermal Control , Braking Systems , Steering Systems , or Active Suspension .The role is responsible for leading control algorithm development, system integration, and validation activities to ensure optimal vehicle performance, safety, and comfort. You will work cross-functionally with Vehicle Dynamics, Software, Hardware, and Testing teams throughout the entire development cycle. Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements Required System Development & Technical Leadership Lead the design, development, and optimization of control algorithms for one or more systems: Thermal Control (battery thermal mgmt, coolant loops, HVAC integration). Braking (ABS, ESC, TCS, brake-by-wire, regenerative blending). Steering (EPS, steer-by-wire, stability enhancement functions). Active Suspension (CDC, active damping, air suspension controls). Define system requirements, control specifications, and performance targets. Lead model-based development (MBD) and ensure robustness of control logic. Review designs and provide guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams. Model-Based Design & Simulation Develop and validate control strategies using MATLAB/Simulink, CarSim, CarMaker or equivalent tools. Build and maintain plant models to support algorithm development and optimization. Conduct system stability analysis, sensitivity analysis, and performance tuning. System Integration & Validation Coordinate the integration of control ECUs with vehicle hardware, sensors, actuators, and communication networks (CAN/LIN/FlexRay). Plan and execute testing activities including SIL, HIL, dynamometer tests, and on-road/proving-ground evaluations. Analyze test data, perform trouble-shooting, and implement corrective actions. Safety & Compliance Ensure system development complies with industry standards such as ISO 26262 . Participate in FMEA/DFMEA and support functional safety analysis. Project Management & Collaboration Lead technical discussions with internal teams and external suppliers. Manage timelines, risks, and deliverables for assigned systems. Support documentation, design reviews, and engineering release processes. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or related fields. 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following domains:
