Job DutiesLab Alley, LLC seeks a Chemist to develop and optimize chemical formulations,oversee analytical testing, and ensure regulatory compliance. The Chemist will apply expertise inchemical synthesis, process modeling, and analytical chemistry to support product development,quality control, and laboratory operations. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control; Regulatory Compliance - Oversee quality control programs, develop andmaintain product documentation (Spec Sheets, COAs), and ensure compliance with Kosher,Halal, Organic, Vegan, Food Grade certifications. Act as the primary regulatory expert forchemical specifications and compliance.
Chemistry Expertise; Leadership - Serve as the lead chemistry expert, providing technicalinsight to internal teams and customers on chemical formulations, properties, applications, andregulatory compliance. Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QualityManagement System (QMS) in preparation for ISO 9001 certification. Operations; Process Optimization - Support chemical safety training, oversee packaging andlaboratory protocols, and ensure adherence to quality assurance and regulatory processes. Product Stewardship; Technical Support - Act as the point of contact for escalated quality andregulatory issues related to chemical products. Provide technical leadership on the productroadmap and chemical compliance matters.
Research; Laboratory Development - Build relationships with third-party laboratories, expandin-house testing capabilities, and conduct research & analysis to enhance productformulations and company performance. Develop and implement chemical safety trainingprograms and mentor junior chemists and interns on advanced analytical methods and processengineering techniques. Job RequirementsMaster's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field or theequivalent based upon a valid credentials evaluation and one year of work experience in ProcessEngineering, Research; Development Engineering, Chemical Synthesis, Analytical Chemistry,or a related field. Salary: $79000. 00 - $80000. 00 per year
