We aim to redefine possibilities in the travel industry through advanced, customer-centric solutions.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role as Chief Account, located in Cairo, Egypt. The Chief Account will oversee financial activities, analyze financial data, manage account operations, and prepare financial statements. Core responsibilities include ensuring compliance with financial regulations, leading and mentoring the accounting team, and collaborating with key departments to improve financial performance and strategy.Responsibilities:Financial Close & Reporting: Lead monthly/quarterly/annual close; prepare trial balance, BS, P&L, cash flow; deliver management packs with variance analysis and commentary within agreed deadlines.General Ledger Excellence: Govern chart of accounts, cost centers, project codes; ensure clean reconciliations (banks, AR/AP, GR/IR, accruals, prepaids, FA & depreciation, WIP, provisions).Project & Revenue Accounting: Align revenue recognition with project milestones/SOW; track project margins and WIP; partner with PMO/Projects on forecasting.Oversee AP/AR teams, ensuring timely collection from agencies and timely payments to suppliers.Conduct weekly and monthly reconciliations for airlines, hotels, B2B partners, and global inventory systems.Implement effective credit control procedures to reduce outstanding receivables.Review and approve reconciliations for BSP, GDS, and other travel platforms.Tax & Statutory: Ensure accurate and on-time VAT, WHT, and CIT filings; prepare audit files and lead the external audit to zero material adjustments.Controls & Policies: Design and maintain SOPs, closing checklists, and internal controls (segregation of duties, approvals, access) aligned to IFRS/EAS and good governance.ERP Ownership (Finance): Act as finance functional owner for COA, dimensions, workflows, and reports; partner with ERP/IT to automate close and reporting tasks.Treasury Oversight (process): Supervise bank reconciliations and payment controls (maker–checker, limits); support short-term cash forecasting (execution by Treasury).Business Partnering: Provide cost insights to leaders; support pricing/bids with cost models; present results and risks to the Financial Manager with clear, concise narratives.People Leadership: Set KPIs for AP/AR/GL; coach and upskill the team; build succession and coverage plans to enable your growth path.Qualifications (Must-have)Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (required); Master’s a plus.Professional certification (one required): CPA, ACCA, or CMA.Strong command of IFRS/EAS, external audit cycles, and Egypt VAT/WHT/CIT.Hands-on ERP experience (Odoo / SAP B1 / Oracle NetSuite) and advanced Excel (pivots, Power Query).Proven track record improving close time, control environment, and report quality.Excellent written & verbal communication in Arabic and English; high integrity and stakeholder influence.10+ years of experience in the B2B travel field.
