Join our team as a Chief Accountant and lead our tax and accounting function with precision, strategy, and integrity.Key responsibilities:1. Tax Compliance & Regulatory ReportingOversee preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns (income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.).Ensure compliance with evolving tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring proper documentation and timely responses.Maintain a tax calendar to ensure no deadlines are missed.Ensure accurate tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.2. Tax Planning & AdvisoryDevelop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities within legal boundaries.Advise management on tax implications of business decisions, new projects, and transactions.Identify tax efficiencies, incentives, and exemptions applicable to the organization.Conduct scenario analysis and evaluate tax risks and exposures.3. Financial Reporting & CompliancePrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audits.Ensure timely submission of regulatory and tax filings.4. Accounting Operations ManagementOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and fixed assets.Implement and enforce robust internal controls.Monitor day-to-day accounting processes for accuracy and efficiency.Approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.5. Systems & Process ImprovementEnhance accounting systems, ERP modules, and reporting workflows.Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.Implement best practices in accounting and financial management.6. Team LeadershipLead, coach, and develop the accounting team.Ensure staff is updated on changes in tax laws through training and knowledge-sharing.Allocate responsibilities to maintain timely and accurate reporting.Required qualifications:Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s is an advantage).Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent.7–12+ years of progressive accounting experience with sound tax exposure.Strong knowledge of corporate and indirect taxes, tax legislation, and IFRS/GAAP tax accounting.SAP experience is an advantage.In accordance with the company's policy and according to Personal Data Protection Act, all documents will be treated in strict confidence.
