Role DescriptionWe are seeking a visionary, strategic, and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to establish and lead our railway and multimodal logistics operations in China.This role will play a pivotal part in expanding our footprint across rail, road, sea freight, and project logistics, driving commercial growth and operational excellence in one of the world’s most dynamic logistics markets.As CEO, you will oversee the full business lifecycle — from legal and operational setup to strategic development, team formation, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll represent the company before clients, partners, and state institutions while shaping our long-term participation in cross-border and Belt and Road initiatives.Location: Shanghai, ChinaKey responsibilities:Establish China Operations — lead the registration and setup of the Chinese entity, ensuring compliance with local legal, financial, and administrative frameworks.Develop Logistics Infrastructure — launch and manage multimodal operations (rail, sea, and cross-border), focusing on cost efficiency, reliability, and direct partnerships with carriers.Build and Lead the Team — hire, mentor, and manage high-performing teams across logistics, procurement, finance, and customer service, ensuring clear accountability and results.Financial Leadership — oversee financial planning, P&L, and transparent governance structures. Ensure sustainable growth through effective budgeting, cost control, and access to available subsidies.Partnership Development — build strategic alliances with CRIMT, CRCC, port authorities, transport operators, and state institutions to enhance business competitiveness.Market Intelligence — monitor logistics and trade trends across China, Central Asia, and Europe to identify opportunities, optimize routes, and support informed decision-making.Strategic Expansion — contribute to global initiatives under the One Belt One Road framework, fostering the development of new corridors and logistics hubs.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.10+ years of international logistics and transport operations experience, including 5+ years in senior management or P&L leadership, experience in ChinProven track record in business setup, strategic expansion, or regional leadership.Strong understanding of multimodal logistics, project cargo, and international trade compliance.Experience working with TMS/WMS/ERP systems and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).Experience working in China’s logistics or industrial sector is essential, including familiarity with local regulations, partners, and market dynamics.Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese; Russian is an advantage.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural management skills.Willingness to travel regularly across China and internationally.What do we offer:Strategic leadership role with full business ownership in a growing international group.Opportunity to build operations from the ground up and shape the company’s long-term market presence.Dynamic, cross-border working environment with direct impact on regional trade corridors.Competitive compensation package and relocation support.
