AXA MPS Financial is an Irish Life Insurance Company, regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and operating on the Italian market under the free provision of services, through a capillary network of banks. It was founded in 1999 in Dublin as a company specializing in Unit and Index Linked insurance products and in 2007 it became part of the AXA MPS Joint Venture (which holds 100% of the Company through AXA MPS Assicurazioni Vita S.p.A.), which combines historical expertise and the traditional local roots of the Montepaschi Group with AXA's international leadership in the financial protection sector. Since 1 January 2014 the Company is part of the AXA ITALIA insurance group (registered in the Register of Insurance Groups with no. 041).For the Dublin Head Office, we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO)– Permanent Position. In Finance Department the candidate will report to the CEO. The CFO is responsible for working with management team, and stakeholders, to ensure the overall financial position of the company is:Safeguarded – by way ofimplementation and maintenance of an adequate system of accounting processes and controls so as to record and report financial information in a controlled, accurate and efficient manneridentification of efficiency measures which support the businessregular preparation of budgets and forecasts and reporting of actual performance against those budgets\forecasts.In accordance with all applicable legislation and regulation – by way ofreporting to CBI and CRO in compliance with their rules and regulationsfiling and reporting to relevant taxation authorities in accordance with their rules and regulationsMain activities and responsibilities: Accurate and timely production of annual statutory financial statements and delivering the quarterly and annual solvency returns to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI). Presentation and interpretation of the annual statutory financial statements and regulatory solvency returns, for review by the Audit Committee and approval by the Board Agreement of the AXA MPS FINANCIAL (AMF) target letter with parent company/Group including proposing and negotiating the appropriate targets. Management of Group Strategic Planning process and preparation of Group reporting for IFRS and Solvency II. Preparation of regular reports on the financial development of the Company to include presentation of reports at Management Committee (MC) and Board. Strategy and oversight of investment operations connected with both collateral and shareholder funds management. Oversight of the efficient management of AXA MPS FINANCIAL DAC’s cash position and bank accounts. Filing of tax returns and ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations. Preparation of expenditure budgets and regular reporting of actual against budget achievements to the MC collectively and individually. Oversight of accounts payable. Ensuring the operation of a robust framework of internal financial controls. Ensures the AMF finance function complies with the AXA Group Standards Handbook and all relevant Professional Family Policy Manuals and/ or Anexes thereto. Managing the relationship with external auditors Operationally responsible for the resolution and remediation of any error or issues that may arise within my business area including that could cause harm or detriment to customers. Hard skills: 8-10 years’ experience in a senior finance functionExperience in a Life company finance function with and in-depth knowledge of the functioning of the balance sheet of such companies.IFRS reportingGAAP reportingRegulatory reportingIrish tax and life insurance legislationUnderstanding of capital, profit and value measures and drivers used by GroupAwareness of Italian tax regulation systemSoft skills: Significant leadership ability and experience leading diverse teams of finance professionals.Excellent written and oral communicationPresentation skillsProven project management skills.Strong analytical skills.People management skillsStrong Negotiation skills
