We are building a scalable tech ecosystem that connects restaurants, suppliers, and customers through seamless automation, digital payments, analytics, and AI-driven workflows.As we enter a rapid growth and fundraising phase, we are seeking a highly strategic, fundraising-focused Part-Time CFO to lead our financial planning, investor engagement, and capital acquisition activities.About the RoleThe CFO will play a key strategic role in fundraising, financial modeling, investor readiness, and capital structure planning. This is not a traditional corporate finance role—it requires startup agility, investor storytelling, and an ability to translate our vision into a compelling financial and commercial roadmap.ResponsibilitiesFundraising & Investor Relations Lead and manage all fundraising activities including pre-seed, seed and Series A funding rounds.Develop investor pitch decks, financial forecasts, TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, and valuation models.Identify and engage venture capital firms, angel networks, strategic investors, and government grants.Build and maintain investor relationships, manage due diligence, and prepare data rooms.Present the company’s financial vision, growth potential, and business model in investor meetings.Financial Strategy & Capital Planning Design, build, and maintain robust financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.Advise on fundraising strategy, capital structure, equity allocation, SAFE notes, and shareholder agreements.Support CEO in strategic decision-making on pricing, revenue models, product monetization, and scaling.Evaluate unit economics, CAC, LTV, runway planning, and scalability of the business model.Governance, Compliance & Risk Management Establish financial controls, reporting structures, and governance frameworks suitable for venture stage.Manage financial risks, investor compliance, and legal due diligence coordination (ASIC, ABN, ATO).Prepare for future audits, grants, and government funding requirements.Strategic Collaboration Work closely with CEO, Product teams, and Commercial divisions to shape financial plans aligned with growth.Serve as financial advisor to the Board, advising on fundraising, acquisitions, growth stages, and exit strategies.Mentor internal teams on financial literacy, investor readiness, KPIs, and financial systems. QualificationsProven experience in startup fundraising (seed to Series A), venture capital networking, or financial advisory.Strong experience in financial modeling, investment memorandums, valuation, and equity financing.Familiarity with SaaS / Tech / AI-enabled platforms, ideally hospitality tech or B2B marketplaces.Strong understanding of investment structures (SAFE, convertible notes, equity rounds, grants).Excellent investor storytelling with ability to simplify complex concepts for VCs and angel investors.Strategic thinker with hands-on approach—capable of working lean, without corporate layers.CA/CPA/CFA or equivalent desirable but not mandatory if replaced by strong fundraising track record.MBA or similar education. Required SkillsStartup-minded, agile, and comfortable with ambiguity.Highly strategic, but execution-driven.Network-oriented with strong investor connections (Australia or global).Passionate about scaling meaningful technology in a real industry.Knowledge in Hospotech or Fintech. Pay range and compensation packagePart-time / Flexible – approximately 1–2 days per week.Combination of fee-based and equity (ESOP) compensation negotiable.Opportunity to convert to full-time in growth stages.
