Job Description

A leading cosmetic manufacturer is seeking a CFO to join their organization. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide key leadership in corporate and operational financial functions, including financial controls; cost containment; systems implementation; reporting; financial planning and analysis; cash flow; treasury; audit; taxes; investments and corporate development. The CFO will serve as a member and trusted business advisor to the executive team. This position is responsible for setting the organization’s financial policy and direction, while also being an active participant and driver of the organization’s overall strategy ResponsibilitiesFunction as a strategic business partner and a problem solver on strategic issuesDirectly involved with the daily financial oversight and management of the companyFocus on cost accounting, controls and operational financePartner with executive management on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysisEnhance organizational profitability through the management and coaching of department leaders regarding budgets, margins, inventory and related metricsOversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externallySupport new business development through expert analysis and planning and provide strong oversight and influence on all contracts for the organization, Manage relationships and serve as the liaison with third parties (Auditors, Banks, and Vendors) to ensure the necessary technological tools and resources are implemented and managedAssist the Chairman and COO in identifying new funding opportunities, drafting prospective program budgets, and in determining cost effectiveness of prospective service deliveryEvaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory actionWork with Controller to monitor sales tax in compliance with contractsWork with Controller to monitor project charges, new charge codes and closes charge codes as directedEstablish effective internal controls and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reportingAny other duties that may be assigned to meet Company goalsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field requiredCPA and/or MBA strongly preferred10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with 5+ years in a senior financial executive role (CFO, VP Finance, or similar)Industry experience in cosmetics, food & beverage, or manufacturing requiredStrong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and product-based financial analysisExperience in franchise, multi-unit retail, or vertically integrated business models preferredDemonstrated success in managing budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and capital planning functionsProficient in financial systems, ERP platforms, and business intelligence tools
