We are looking for a ''Chief Information Officer '' for a client operating in the production industry for which we are providing consultancy.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Technology LeadershipDevelop and execute the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.Identify and assess emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.Collaborate with the executive team to set strategic priorities and goals for technology initiatives.Technology Development and ImplementationOversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of technology systems and solutions.Ensure that technology platforms are scalable, secure, and support the company’s growth and operational needs.Lead the evaluation and selection of technology vendors and partners.Cybersecurity and Risk ManagementDevelop and implement robust cybersecurity strategies to protect the company’s data and systems.Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Oversee risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate technology-related risks.Data Management and AnalyticsLead the development and execution of data management strategies, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security.Promote the use of data analytics to drive business insights and decision-making.Oversee the implementation of data governance policies and practices.IT Infrastructure and OperationsOversee the management of the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency.Implement best practices for IT operations, including system administration, network management, and help desk support.Monitor and optimize IT performance, ensuring alignment with business needs.Project ManagementLead and manage technology projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.Develop and implement project management methodologies and practices to ensure successful project delivery.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution and stakeholder engagement.Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.Promote collaboration and effective communication within the IT team and across the organization.Identify and address training and development needs within the IT team.Stakeholder EngagementServe as the primary point of contact for technology matters with internal and external stakeholders.Communicate the company’s technology vision, strategy, and performance to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, partners, and industry leaders.Qualifications and ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant professional certification is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in technology management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in [industry/sector] is highly desirable.Skills:Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities.Proven track record of driving technological innovation and transformation.Deep technical expertise in relevant technologies and systems.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to navigate complex technological environments and manage multiple priorities.Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data management, and risk management.Proficiency in technology management software and tools (e.g., project management, development tools).
