China Life Insurance Company Singapore (CLIS) aims to cultivate a strong sense of belonging among all employees through a people-oriented corporate culture.Position Objective:To deliver the expected investment returns within stated risk parameters for the various stakeholders, set strategic directions and to establish and enhance investment governance framework and processes, to support and contribute to CLIS’ business objectives and overall KPIs.Job Description:Investment ManagementTo exercise oversight of assets investment and management to ensure insurance assets match products’ liabilities requirement;To set, review and enforce asset allocation and investment policiesTo ensure appropriate investment strategies to deliver the target returns;To ensure investment activities to comply with investment policies and relevant regulations/guidelines.Investment Governance FrameworkTo establish and enhance investment governance framework and ensure a sound investment risk control environment;To constantly review investment policy and process in order to improve investment activity efficiency.Investment Function CapabilityTo elevate the competency, quality and efficiency of the investment functionTo expand investment capability and skill sets to new value-enhancing fields including investment risk management and alternative investment;To build out the investment function, from talent acquisition and development, establishing and optimizing systems and processes to strengthen execution capability and efficiency, to enhancing cross-department planning and decision-making, etc.Job Requirements:Minimum 15 years of experience in Insurance Investment, Fund Management, Buy-Side Research or Sell-Side ResearchPosition rank will be determined based on experience and qualifications.Understand various investment end-to-end process from idea generation, analysis to execution. Strong knowledge of investment back and middle office functions.Expertise in various investment areas, such as fund investment, credit and/or equity analysis and alternatives.Demonstrated leadership capacity and experience in the asset management sector.Owns a broad network of relationships on both buy and sell side, spanning regional and ideally international markets.Good grasp of regulatory landscape both domestic and ideally across Asian markets, especially for the asset management and preferably also the insurance sector.Possesses strategic perspective, leadership qualities and confidence to deal with various stakeholders including SMT and regulators.Good degree from a reputable university, majoring in Finance, Accountancy or BusinessCFA preferredGood command of spoken and written English. Effective communicator in spoken mandarin, ability to read/write in Chinese advantageous
