Group Chief Medical Officer (Relocation to Vietnam) Our client is a leading healthcare group recognized for its commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and quality patient care. As part of its continued growth, the organization is seeking an experienced Group Chief Medical Officer (GCMO) to oversee medical governance, drive quality standards, and strengthen clinical capabilities across its network of hospitals and healthcare facilities.This is a senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned medical professional to shape clinical strategy, ensure compliance with national healthcare standards, and lead initiatives to elevate patient outcomes and operational performance across the group.Key Responsibilities:Medical Leadership & Governance:Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure high standards of clinical care, patient safety, and service quality across all hospitals in the network.Quality Assurance & Compliance:Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality management frameworks in line with local healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.Clinical Risk Management:Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of clinical risks, including the review of adverse events and incident reporting, ensuring lessons learned translate into improved protocols.Professional Development:Drive initiatives to enhance the competencies of medical teams through training, mentorship, and continuous professional education programs.Medical Excellence & Innovation:Promote evidence-based medicine and spearhead the adoption of new medical technologies, procedures, and clinical practices to strengthen the group’s service portfolio.Research & Knowledge Sharing:Encourage and support research, scientific seminars, and cross-facility collaboration to advance clinical knowledge and innovation.Crisis & Emergency Response:Coordinate group-level responses to health emergencies such as epidemics or mass-casualty incidents, ensuring readiness and effective communication.Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with hospital CEOs, department heads, regulatory bodies, and external partners to align medical strategies with organizational objectives.Reporting & Continuous Improvement:Track and evaluate clinical performance indicators and implement continuous improvement plans to achieve excellence in patient outcomes.Qualifications & Experience:Master’s degree or higher in Medicine; postgraduate qualification in Hospital or Healthcare Management preferred.Minimum 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership or medical governance role.Strong background in clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk management within a multi-site or group-level healthcare organization.Experience in medical education, training program development, and clinical capability building.Familiarity with international accreditation standards (e.g., JCI, MOH quality frameworks) and healthcare quality systems.Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire multi-disciplinary medical teams.Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills, with a strong understanding of healthcare systems and policies.Fluency in English; additional regional languages would be an advantage.
