The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of Tahini’s executive leadership team, responsible for translating vision into scalable systems, performance frameworks, and cultural alignment across the organization. The COO provides strategic direction to the Director of Operations and Regional Management structure, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and brand consistency across all regions.This role focuses on long-term growth, leadership development, and franchise system performance, balancing innovation with operational discipline to sustain Tahini’s momentum as a leading fast-casual brand in North America and United States.WHAT YOU’LL DOExecutive Operational LeadershipProvide strategic oversight and leadership across Tahini’s entire operational ecosystem, including corporate and franchise markets.Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute the company’s operational roadmap, aligning performance objectives with overall business strategy.Lead, mentor, and empower the Director of Operations and Regional Managers to achieve measurable excellence in execution, efficiency, and leadership capacity.Evaluate regional and organizational performance metrics (sales, profitability, labor, guest experience) to guide executive decisions and prioritize high-impact initiatives.Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and operational innovation across the leadership team.Champion strategic initiatives that elevate brand standards, strengthen margins, and improve cross-departmental alignment.Franchise Operations LeadershipServe as the strategic architect for franchise system performance, guiding the Director of Operations in ensuring consistency, profitability, and operational health across all markets.Collaborate with executive leadership to design frameworks for regional evaluation, growth planning, and system-wide performance benchmarking.Lead quarterly business reviews with the Director of Operations and Regional Managers to assess franchise health, identify opportunities, and set performance objectives.Drive initiatives that enhance franchisee engagement, operational scalability, and system alignment with Tahini’s long-term goals.Maintain a high-level partnership with the CEO on strategic decision-making, resource allocation, and future market development.Strategic Planning & GrowthPartner with the CEO and executive leadership to set organizational priorities, growth targets, and financial objectives.Direct large-scale initiatives related to process optimization, technological integration, and market expansion.Anticipate business and industry trends to ensure Tahini’s operational model remains forward-thinking and adaptable.Support the development of strategic partnerships that drive competitive advantage, supply chain efficiency, and operational innovation.Oversee long-term infrastructure planning, ensuring systems, people, and processes are built to scale.Leadership Development & Organizational ExcellenceProvide mentorship and direction to the Director of Operations and key department leaders, reinforcing strong leadership pipelines and operational consistency.Champion a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.Guide senior leaders in the evolution of training philosophies and operational frameworks, alignment with Tahini’s brand identity and long-term culture goals.Evaluate organizational structure, talent needs, and leadership performance to ensure Tahini’s operational bench strength supports its growth trajectory.Serve as a culture carrier, embedding Tahini’s values into leadership development, operational strategy, and decision-making processes.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORMust-Have7+ years of senior leadership experience in multi-unit restaurant or franchise operations, with at least 3 years in an executive-level capacity.Proven record of leading Regional and Operations Directors toward measurable growth, profitability, and system consistency.Deep understanding of franchise systems, multi-market scalability, and leadership pipeline development.Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, capable of bridging financial performance and operational execution.Exceptional communication, influence, and change management skills.Experience leading cross-functional initiatives that drive growth, efficiency, and culture alignment.
