Position Overview-The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations, implementing strategic initiatives, and driving operational and financial performance across all business lines. The COO will partner closely with the CEO to execute the firm’s growth strategy, scale internal processes, and enhance portfolio performance.This role requires a strategic operator with deep experience in real estate investment management, organizational leadership, and cross-functional team building.Key Responsibilities-Operational LeadershipOversee certain company operations including asset management, property management, finance, and investor relations.Design, implement, and optimize scalable business systems, processes, and performance metrics.Drive operational excellence, efficiency, and accountability across teams.Manage strategic partnerships, vendors, and third-party service providers.Strategic Planning & ExecutionPartner with the CEO to define and execute short- and long-term strategic objectives.Lead business planning, budgeting, and performance measurement across the portfolio.Evaluate new business opportunities and market expansion.Monitor market trends and competitive landscape.Financial ManagementOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes in coordination with the Controller and finance team.Ensure adherence to company financial targets, investor return goals, and capital allocation strategies.Support due diligence and underwriting for acquisitions and capital transactions.Team & Culture LeadershipBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team.Support the culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.Ensure alignment between company vision, operational priorities, and staff performance.Investor RelationsCollaborate team to provide consistent reporting and communication to investors.Participate in investor meetings, fundraising, and partnership development as needed.QualificationsRequired:10+ years of leadership experience in real estate investment, private equity, or development.Proven track record overseeing multi-functional teams and large portfolios.Strong financial acumen and understanding of real estate capital structures, underwriting, and asset management.Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to scale operations and implement systems in a growth environment.Preferred:Experience with both institutional and private capital.Familiarity with property management, construction, and technology integration.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary and annual performance bonus.Equity participation or profit-sharing potential.Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.).Opportunity for career growth and participation in firm-level strategic decisions.
