This responsibility is met by working with Victorian Courts to ensure the demand for juries is met and that the jury experience for citizens is valuable.About The RoleOffered on a fixed-term, 4 day per week basis until December 2026 and reporting to the Circuit Jury Manager but working closely with the local Senior Registrar, the Circuit Jury Coordinator will be the local single point of contact for judges and their staff when jury trials are listed and proceeding. The Circuit Jury Coordinator is also the key link between circuit operations and Juries Victoria's leadership team, supporting Juries Victoria's planning and forecasting responsibilities for the respective jury district.Key Accountabilities IncludeUsing initiative and sound judgement to provide high-level, confidential operational support to judges and their staff, senior registrars and JV managers.Overseeing a range of operational duties supporting circuit activities, including those associated with JV's jury management system (JMS), as well as stakeholder management.Supporting JV managers in the forecasting for; the summonsing of; and the communicating with citizens summoned as jurors in circuit locations to meet the listing demands of courts.Contributing to the identification and resolution of complex and sensitive operational issues.Overseeing the local-based induction and training of judges and their staff on circuit, as well as registry and JV staff as required.Engaging with and processing enquiries and responses from citizens called to undertake jury service.Delivering orientation to panels of prospecitve jurors and being the primary contact responsible for facilitation of jury empanelments.Performing a range of general administrative functions including the maintenance and management of various records and registers (manual and computerised)Assessing the eligibility, suitability and availability of Victorian citizens randomly selected for jury serviceAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you can demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with Juries Victoria's stakeholders, problem solve and provide excellent customer service in a dynamic operational environment.
