Occupation DescriptionThe Document Controller is responsible for executing and supporting all aspects of document control across City Edge Developments’ projects. This role ensures that project documentation is accurately registered, classified, maintained, and archived in alignment with internal procedures and project-specific requirements. The position requires a high level of independence, attention to detail, and coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders. Job ScopeExecute document control activities in compliance with CED’s Document Control procedures and quality standards. Maintain and manage both electronic and physical document filing systems with proper categorization, versioning, and traceability.
Review incoming and outgoing documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper metadata prior to circulation. Administer the company’s document control system in coordination with the Business Systems team, ensuring secure access and reliable data integrity. Track and control document status, approvals, revisions, and distribution according to project requirements. Issue documents based on approved distribution lists and contract specifications, ensuring timely delivery and proper logging. Handle confidential and sensitive documentation in line with company information security policies. Support project teams with document-related queries and promote adherence to document control protocols.
Participate in audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement activities related to documentation. Perform any additional tasks as requested according to the company’s policies and procedures. Education and Most Common Work Experience RequestedBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or a relevant field. 1-3 years of experience in document control, preferably within the real estate development & construction sector. Proficient in document control software and systems (e. g. , Aconex, SharePoint, etc. ) is a plus.
