About The OpportunityNot all BA roles are the same – this one will see you get involved in enabling great outcomes in our many projects across the business with a focus on business case writing. The kind of things you will be doing are: Writing robust business cases. Gathering and documenting business requirements. Providing comprehensive analysis to design, develop, advise and guide project deliverables. Being actively involved in project teams to identify challenges and opportunities from a business analysis perspective. Facilitating workshops.

You’ll be sitting in our Project Delivery and Portfolio Management team, where you will be part of a highly collaborative group of professionals delivering results and enabling the business to innovate and evolve. The starting salary for the Business Analyst within Corporate Services group is between $98,689 and maximum of $120,941. Starting salaries are to be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.

What You’ll BringA natural with people, you will work well with all levels of stakeholders and bring a passion for using business analysis to support future-focussed solutions. Ideally, we would love to you have some of the following: Previous experience within either a BA role, or similar where you have developed your business analysis skills. Business case writing, ideally with exposure to the NZ Government Better Business Case process. Strong skills in building effective relationships and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. An understanding of the project environment including methodologies.

To be a confident facilitator with excellent communication and plain language writing skills.
