Civil Engineer – Site Works

Job Description

The Civil Engineer (Site Works) is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing civil construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to design specifications and safety standards. This role involves coordination with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants to achieve high-quality construction outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and manage all civil construction activities including foundations, structures, roads, and external works.Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Prepare and monitor work schedules, progress reports, and daily site reports.Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants for smooth execution.Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.Conduct site inspections, testing, and quality control for materials and workmanship.Manage site documentation, including RFI (Request for Information), variation orders, and as-built drawings.Assist in procurement of materials, subcontractor evaluation, and resource planning.Resolve technical issues on-site and provide practical solutions.Support project handover, including final inspections, snagging, and completion documentation.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.8–10 years of experience in civil construction projects with a strong focus on site execution.Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and civil engineering standards.Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other civil engineering software.Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage site teams, and meet project deadlines.Knowledge of local construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in GCC region projects (Saudi Arabia preferred).Professional certification such as PMP or PE is an advantage.Experience with design & build, commercial, or residential projects.Familiarity with local authority approvals and quality control procedures.
