Cayman First maintains an A- (Excellent) financial strength rating from global credit rating agency AM Best.PURPOSE OF JOB As a Claims Administrator you will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Unit. Responsibilities include managing client documentation and inquiries, maintaining filing systems, and coordinating tasks such as cheque distribution, Motor Engineer assignments, and repair job tracking. The position requires exceptional customer service skills, effective communication with clients and staff, and proficiency in managing logs and electronic platforms.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support services to the unit, including implementing and maintaining an effective filing system for standard documents and correspondenceInterface with clients, respond to inquiries, and direct them to claims advisors or appropriate personnel when requiredManage and review client documentation, including claim forms, invoices, receipts, and correspondence, ensuring proper filing and electronic delivery to appropriate usersAnswer and field incoming calls courteously and efficiently, taking accurate messages and ensuring timely delivery to managers and staffMaintain logs for unreported claims, walk-in clients, and the fair distribution of clients to claims personnel, utilizing electronic platforms where applicableAssist with cheque-related tasks, such as preparing release and enclosure letters, notifying clients or service providers of cheque readiness, and managing cheque distributionCoordinate and track assignments to Motor Engineers, authorized repair jobs, and Motor Vehicle Valuation and Inspection Requests, liaising with claims and underwriting staff as neededFollow up with clients and claim service providers on settlements and documentation to ensure efficient processes and timely resolutionsProvide high levels of customer service at all times and render assistance necessary for the efficient operation of the UnitComplete additional duties as assigned by management. RequirementsA high school diploma or related associate degreePursue the Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) or its equivalentComputer literacy; particularly Microsoft Windows and Office ApplicationsStrong level of comfort for using web-based applicationsConfidentiality, initiative, and self-motivationProfessional appearance and conduct at all timesGood oral and written communication skillsStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsWork cooperatively with others.
