In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the claims process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. You will also drive strategic initiatives to enhance claims management, streamline operations, and reduce risk across the department.Job ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the P&C claims team by providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure optimal performance and productivityOversee the end-to-end claims process, including claim intake, investigation, evaluation, and settlement, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and industry regulationsMaintain a customer-centric approach to claims management, ensuring prompt and transparent communication with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders throughout the claims processDevelop and implement strategies to identify and mitigate risks associated with property and casualty insurance claims, including fraud detection and prevention measuresMonitor key performance metrics, such as claims cycle time, customer satisfaction scores, claims loss ratios, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve departmental goals and objectivesCollaborate with other departments, including underwriting, legal, finance, to resolve complex claims issues, identify process improvements, and ensure alignment with company-wide initiativesStay abreast of changes in insurance regulations and industry best practices related to property and casualty claims management, ensuring compliance and adherence to all relevant laws and guidelinesExperienced in managing complex claims along with litigation strategy yielding results under best termsPrepare and present regular reports to senior management on claims department performance, trends, and emerging risks, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvementComplete additional duties as assigned by management. RequirementsBachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications in insurance is preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in property and casualty insurance claims management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial roleIn-depth knowledge of property and casualty insurance principles, coverages, and claims processesStrong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of claims professionalsExcellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsAnalytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies for improvementProficiency in insurance claims management software and Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvementBenefitsCayman First offers a competitive compensation package with eligibility for a discretionary bonus, subsidized health insurance for employees and dependents, preferred home and motor insurance, a great company culture and work life balance.
