Client demand for the programme is such that we now need an enthusiastic Client Training Manager who can help us to develop its full potential. Key internal relationships: UK partners and Associates (all sectors and practice areas); Business Development Team (including the Client Management and New Business Teams); Learning and Development, Diversity & Inclusion.Key Internal RelationshipsUK partners and Associates (all sectors and practice areas); Business Development Team (including the Client Management and New Business Teams); Learning and Development, Diversity & Inclusion.Responsibilities Oversee the development and deployment of our highly-regarded client programme, Skills For Future Facing Teams, to new heights! Consult with GCs and Heads of Legal of our client organisations about their teams’ challenges and development priorities. Keep ahead of wider trends and thinking in relation to leadership in professional services and source new external trainers where appropriate. Liaise with our panel of external skills consultants and CMS facilitators and manage the Client Training Budget. Programme our schedule of monthly webinars, reflecting in-house priorities and the latest leadership development topics. Develop targeted programmes to support clients at different career stages. Coordinate content for and host organisation-specific training events – whether online (eg by Teams) or in person (for example, team offsites hosted at a CMS office). Promote awareness of the programme within CMS and support colleagues (partners, associates and the BD team) to use the programme more strategically to enhance client relationships. Respond to requests from clients and from CMS colleagues about the training available to clients. There is also the potential to become involved in some training delivery where appropriate – for example, leading ice-breakers, facilitating discussions, and to develop training repertoire etc. Location: This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work partly from home and partly from any of our UK offices. However, most in-person events take place in the London office, and the successful candidate would be expected to work in London on the day of those events. For candidates based outside London, travel and accommodation costs would be provided. In person events (typically 1-2 per month) are organised well in advance, so there is plenty of time to plan. Hours: Full time, or part time. 21-35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times. Based: UK, flexible/ hybrid*. Duration: Permanent contractAbout YouThe successful candidate will possess:A good knowledge of learning and development in professional services and the desire to extend that expertise.Enthusiasm, curiosity and commitment to learn more about our clients‘ training needs and to develop our programme into an award-winner.The confidence and communications skills to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within CMS and client organisations.Experience in initiating and sustaining projects and working effectively with a range of stakeholders. A background in the legal profession – whether in-house, private practice or knowledge/ training support field - would be an advantage.
