We have a team of five experienced and caring clinicians who are all currently fully booked and provide a range of evidence-based treatments to our adult clients. These include treatment for trauma and rehabilitation, chronic pain, and illness, as well as depression, anxiety, ADHD and mood disorders.You will be enthusiastic about your role in guiding others to make positive changes in their lives. Our clients are referred by a wide selection of local GP's along with other services including health and insurance companies, local area health services and private hospitals.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time/part-time hybrid role located in Sydney's northern beaches NSW, with some work from home acceptable. The professional in this role will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, providing counseling, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.We offer a flexible work/life balance where you choose to work the hours and days you want and see the number of clients that works for you. Develop your professional and clinical skills with our caring group of experienced practitioners andadministration staff.The practice manager and administration support can book your clients and deal with cancellations and rescheduling. They will chase those doctors’ referrals leaving you to be free to focus on making a difference in your client’s lives. We are a supportive and friendly team who sharecollaborative engaging professional development opportunities and expertise.• Individual supervision meetings are available with Principal psychologistAnnemarie who is a Board approved supervisor and clinical psychologist.• The practice has capacity for another clinical psychology registrar from 2026.• We see clients across the life span in family groups allowing us to cross-refersome patients to others in the team.Selection Criteria•You will be a permanent resident in Australia with experience working in this countryYou will be eligible to work with AHPRA as a Medicare provider.• You will have your own professional indemnity and public liability insurance.• You will possess good clinical skills and experience working with adults acrossthe lifespan.• You will ideally have previous experience in a private practice setting, workingindependently and communicating with referrers in accordance with Medicarerequirements.Desirable Criteria• Demonstrated experience working across groups with differing demographics andpresenting issues.• Capacity to work after hours at least one day and weekends will be highly valued.• Capacity to see clients both F2F and via telehealth.• We would value a practitioner with skills and experience in a range of evidence-based treatments such as CBT, Mindfulness based therapy and schema therapyaccording to the needs of the client.• Computer literate and familiarity with private practice softwareSkills in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, and Mental HealthExperience with Psychological Testing and conducting assessmentsProficiency in Clinical SupervisionStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamDoctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or related field, with appropriate licensureExperience in working with diverse populations is a plusIf you are interested, please find us on our website barrenjoeypsychology.com.au formore information on the practice.Please email a cover letter and resume to the principal psychologist and practice owner,Annemarie Lambe on annemarie@barrenjoeypsychology.com.au
