In everything we do, the wellbeing and best interests of children are paramount.This is a specialist role within the Reducing Youth Offending team that provides intensive therapeutic intervention.About the role:We are seeking a highly motivated individual with significant clinical supervisor experience for the Auckland based Reducing Youth Offending Programme. You will have a thorough understanding of the causes of youth offending, and a sound knowledge of and experience in delivery of Multi-systemic Therapy (MST), behavioural theories/therapies and/or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions, and an understanding of pragmatic family therapy. This role is a unique position that sits within Oranga Tamariki. The Reducing Youth Offending Programme works with families using the Multi-systemic Therapy (MST) framework. This is an intensive, evidence based programme that provides therapeutic intervention, working with young people, their caregivers and other significant influencers in their lives to address the range of factors behind their offending.In this role you will:Provide individual and group clinical and professional supervision, support, skill and knowledge enhancement, and training of Intensive Therapy case workersCollaborate with Programme Manager to coordinate services within Programme teamThe provision of weekly clinical supervision and reviewsMonitor the requirements and best practice documentation and case recording standards for clinical and therapeutic interventionsBe available to participate in and support practitioners on an on call rosterMeet with the MST consultant to ensure that KPI outcomes are met Triage and generate referrals through Social Workers at Oranga Tamariki, and be part of the consult processes Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that positive and sustainable outcomes are achieved. Ensure therapist adhere to the behaviour modification model, and monitor clinician development plans to improve therapist strengths To be successful you will have:A relevant tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling, mental health or other related subject domainsA clean, current full driver's licenceAn Understanding of the statutory role and objectives of Oranga Tamariki ServicesDemonstrated experience and/or understanding of Te Ao Māori, and working with Māori communitiesDemonstrated competence and experience in effective interpersonal skills and building and maintaining team and stakeholder relationshipsClinical and therapeutic experience, relevant to the intervention and treatment of families/WhānauPrevious supervisory and leadership experience in a similar roleWhat's in it for you | Nōu te rourouWe are a small, vibrant, and strong team, and we offer training and professional development so that you can develop and grow.
