Job description:Organization: Toronto Memory ProgramLocation: Toronto, CanadaFull-Time OnsitePosition SummaryToronto Memory Program, Canada’s largest Alzheimer’s disease clinical trial site, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Clinical Trial Education Assistant. This role will play a crucial part in assisting our clinical trial recruitment team identify and pre-screen potential candidates for participation in clinical trials. The Clinical Trial Education Assistant will provide support through administrative tasks and will conduct cognitive testing as part of the screening process. If you are passionate about making a difference in the field of memory disorders and want to contribute to cutting-edge research, we invite you to apply.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the pre-screening process, including conducting initial phone screenings and administering pre-screening questionnaires.Collect demographic information and schedule appointments for potential participants, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.Conduct cognitive testing on potential candidates using standardized assessment tools and protocols.Maintain accurate and confidential records of potential participants and their screening outcomes.Provide administrative support, such as data entry, filing, organizing recruitment materials.Collaborate with the research team to ensure smooth communication and coordination of recruitment efforts.Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to work, willingly taking on new projects and tasks as they arise.Adapt communication style and approach to accommodate clients with memory problems or cognitive challenges, ensuring information is conveyed in a clear and understandable manner.Foster a culture of healthy communication within the team by actively promoting open dialogue, respect, and collaboration.Take proactive steps to achieve or exceed assigned targets, utilizing effective recruitment strategies, time management, and problem-solving skills.Salary: $45,000-55,000/yearRequirementsBachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, neuroscience, healthcare administration) is preferred.Previous experience in clinical research or healthcare settings is an asset.Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Comfortable working with individuals with memory impairment or cognitive challenges.Ethical and professional demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and multitask efficiently.Our CommitmentToronto Memory Program is dedicated to inclusive research and improving access to clinical trials for all members of our community.
