Every trial we conduct is designed to improve patient outcomes and answer research questions that improve people’s lives.PROPEL is a significant clinical trial investigating a complex, multimodal prehabilitation care package designed to enhance long-term health and wellbeing in individuals with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. The aim of the complex intervention is to support patients through intensive chemotherapy treatments, including haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.As Cover Clinical Trial Manager for PROPEL, you’ll be an instrumental member of the trial team and a vital part in its success, while the current Clinical Trial Manager goes on maternity leave.The role will be pivotal in driving recruitment and will serve as a key contributor to the management and oversight of the Specialist Intervention team, which integrates exercise, nutrition, psychology, and behavioural components.Leading the day-to-day management of the PROPEL study, which includes oversight of the Specialist Intervention teamTaking responsibility for the preparations and submission of ethical and regulatory submissions and amendmentsOverseeing and implementation of key trial processes, including the supervision of other members of the trial team.Confidently presenting at meetings and producing accurate progress reportsFostering relationships and engaging with collaboratorsMotivating others to help identify and remove barriers to recruitment and ensure the successful delivery of the study.Flexible WorkingWe will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.Contract TypeThis position is a fixed-term contractending 02 November 2026.About YouAre you passionate about clinical trials and known for being a highly organised, committed and a supportive team manager? If so, then you could be a great fit for Warwick Clinical Trials Unit (Warwick CTU).You will need to have significant recent experience of managing clinical trials and with the knowledge of the regulatory environment, excellent project management and interpersonal skills, and be educated to degree level or equivalent.You will have experience of managing activity across the lifespan of a trial and working with sites to recruit to target.You will also need strong communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including research site staff, trial participants, and oversight committee members.
