Job Description
Job Summary:The Azure Administrator is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the organization’s Microsoft Azure cloud environment. This includes implementing, configuring, and optimizing Azure resources to ensure secure, reliable, and cost-effective operations across virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services.Key Responsibilities: • Manage and monitor Azure resources (VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks, load balancers, etc.). • Implement and maintain Azure Active Directory (AAD), user management, and access control. • Configure and monitor Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and disaster recovery solutions. • Optimize performance, availability, and cost efficiency of cloud resources. • Manage hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure services. • Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure policies, governance, and compliance settings. • Handle Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and role-based access control (RBAC). • Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform). • Monitor system health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Security Center. • Apply and enforce security best practices, including network security groups, firewalls, and encryption. • Troubleshoot Azure-related performance and connectivity issues. • Prepare documentation, reports, and regular updates on Azure resource usage and performance.Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience managing Microsoft Azure environments. • Strong knowledge of: • Azure Active Directory & Identity Management • Virtual Machines, Networking, and Storage • Azure Monitor, Security Center, and Policy Management • Azure Backup, Recovery Services, and Site Recovery • PowerShell, Azure CLI, or scripting for automation • Experience with hybrid environments (on-prem + Azure). • Understanding of IT security and compliance principles. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and documentation abilities.Preferred Certifications: • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (optional) • ITIL Foundation (optional)
