Job Title: Cloud Operations & Automation Engineer (GCP)Location: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaEmployment Type: Full-timeExperience Required: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experienceThe company is seeking a qualified Cloud Operations & Automation Engineer to join the Technology team responsible for operating and enhancing the Enterprise Data Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Google Cloud environments, automation, performance optimization, and ensuring service reliability.Key Responsibilities:• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resources on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure operational efficiency and cost management.• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud Build and other DevOps tools.• Develop and automate data ingestion workflows using Informatica and Google Pub/Sub to support seamless data flow into the Lakehouse platform.• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems to maintain platform performance and availability.• Optimize cloud architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability using BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage.• Automate security practices including IAM roles management, data encryption, and access control in alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.• Monitor cloud resource utilization and implement cost optimization strategies using GCP’s cost management tools.• Troubleshoot operational issues, investigate system failures, and provide root cause analysis to ensure service continuity.• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance automation, streamline operations, and integrate new services into the cloud ecosystem.• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational workflows and platform reliability.Required Expertise:• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)• BigQuery• Pub/Sub• Informatica• Google Cloud Storage• GCP Native Services• Apigee• CI/CD and automation practices• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and cloud operations• Solid experience in monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
