he Club Business Development team supports the 32-member clubs in all aspects of their business operations, serving as liaisons to both the Clubs and the League. The team utilizes a combination of analytics and functional expertise in sales and marketing to develop 'next practices' and facilitates the sharing of 'best practices' between clubs.Club Business Development is seeking a Club Account Director to join the team and serve as a trusted business consultant for a designated set of NFL clubs. Account Directors are the main day-to-day liaison and first point of contact for club leadership on many business matters, and a trusted voice at the league office to help guide business decisions and provide strategic support on club initiatives. This role will also be asked to drive strategy across Club fan engagement initiatives, tentpole club engagement and support, and other key Club and League strategies in support of all 32 clubs.Description Of ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities of the Club Account Director role will include:Building relationships with senior members of club staff (ownership, club presidents, leadership across all business verticals) for the designated clubs, including through in-market visitsIdentify strengths, opportunities, and threats to the club's business model through a holistic understanding of their business. Advise on business strategies to advance the club’s efforts within their local marketplace. This will include efforts across Ticketing, Sponsorship, Marketing, Game Presentation, Premium, Analytics/Strategy, Stadium innovation, Staffing structure, etc.Share industry best practices based on specific business needsCollaborate with other members of the Club BD staff to identify industry trendsPlay a key role in all 32 league meetings, workshops and calls. This could also include driving the strategy for calls and meetings.Collaborate with all NFL League Office departments that touch club business, including Club Digital, Media Strategy, Sponsorship, Marketing, Consumer Products, Club & Labor Finance, Data & Analytics, and more.Serve as liaison between League and Clubs by managing key communications and meetingsAssist in data collection effortsWork with Club Business Development analytics staff on reporting, data-led insights, and additional studies/initiativesDrive fan engagement strategies with the clubs, including through programs like the Fan Experience Program, Domestic and Global Fan of the Year initiatives, Season Ticket Member “Membership Club”, Club Viewing parties, etc.Drive strategic participation and engagement with clubs around NFL tentpole events. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Participating Team Oversight & Support (for Super Bowl and International Games), NFL Draft, Schedule Release, Thanksgiving, NFL Flag Championships, Training Camp, Pro Bowl, Back Together Weekend, etc.Support key transactional marketing strategies across all 32 clubs through platforms like Heads of Marketing calls, ticket marketing initiatives, local market activations, and more.Building out tools and best practices to support all 32 Clubs’ fan engagement and transactional marketing initiativesMeet with vendors in the space to provide introductions and recommendations to clubsRequired Skills/KnowledgeExcellent communication, team building, and interpersonal skillsAbility to derive insights from data/analytics/research and present findings to all levels of an organizationAbility to anticipate clubs' needs and match them with appropriate work products and/or individuals at the League OfficeAbility to handle multiple tasks, good time management and organizational skillsDeep experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointSocial media competencyDetail orientedExpected Travel25% of the timeClub marketsLeague meetings and workshopsSignificant league events (e.g., Super Bowl, Draft, etc.)Work Location: New York (NY is preferred but willing to consider LA for the right candidate)Experience NeededMinimum of 10+ years of experienceTeam, league, or agency experience preferredConsulting and/or strategy background a plusEducational Background RequiredBachelor’s degreeTerms / Expected Hours of Work40 hours per week/in officeSalary / Pay RangeThis job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range.
