CMF Designer | Product Designer

For a multinational in Amsterdam, we are looking for an ambitious CMF / Product Designer. In this role you have the possibility to stimulate the creative process with new ideas, input and thinking through the whole product experience (e.g., visualizations and simulations). Available 4/5 days per week (flexible in work days), starting in January 2026.Our OfferChallenging international environmentTemporary role for 6 months, starting ASAPFulltime, 40 hours per weekTemporary contract/secondment, approx. € 4,500 gross/month (freelance not an option)Extension is possibleTasks & Responsibilities CMF DesignerEnsuring CMF consistency across categories via alignment with the CMF design team Leading multiple CMF projects, owning CMF activities end-to-end, from brief to launchShaping category CMF strategy & range architecture, including sustainability as a driverPrototyping, reviewing prototypes/samples, and documenting feedback to safeguard CMF intent Conducting consumer, competitor and trend research to identify needs and create differentiation Sharing knowledge, inspiring the design community and driving meaningful, user-centric innovation Generating CMF concepts, delivering definitions/documentation, and ensuring manufacturing feasibilityThe OrganisationThis international design-driven organisation located in Amsterdam is known for creating consumer products with a strong focus on aesthetics, user experience and material innovation. You’ll be joining a company that values craftsmanship, future-proof thinking and the continuous improvement of the product experience.Your TeamYou are a part of a team of Product, Digital UX, Communication Designers and Program Managers, with a main focus on CMF projects. Your team is part of the larger Amsterdam team of about 100 people and a global design community of approximately 450 colleagues supporting all of our businesses.Together, you work closely with business management, marketing, and engineering to shape the portfolio’s future identity through projects, guidelines, and final design specifications. The role offers challenging projects that put your skills to the test, plenty of learning through feedback and knowledge sharing, and the creative freedom to make a real impact with your expertise.Profile CMF DesignerIn order to fulfill this role you are/have:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design (or related) Willingness to travel to prototype / model makers, suppliers and relevant exhibitions Strong craft skills in CMF visualisation, especially mood boards and CMF renderings with KeyShot Excellent English communication and storytelling, able to influence stakeholders through persuasive presentations 5 years’ CMF experience in home appliances / consumer electronics, with a sharp eye for colour, materials and finish quality Deep knowledge of materials / finishes and related related manufacturing processes to ensure feasibility and cost-efficiency
