If you’ve ever wanted to start your own polymer or materials startup in the Greater Toronto Area but weren’t sure where to begin, this could be your chance.I’m building an early-stage venture, Zyhecta (www.zyhecta.com). Preference for candidates with a strong chemistry background (polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, etc.).Strong background in product & technology development, polymeric materials, synthesis, R&D, and materials innovation.Prior experience in the polymer and chemical industry is highly preferred, and previous startup experience is an additional assetExperience or expertise in AI, data science, or machine learning is a strong plus (materials informatics, data-driven discovery, design & product development, predictive materials research, etc.)Financially able to work in an early-stage startup prior to securing external funding (grants, accelerators, investors)Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, hardworking, self-motivated, and able to drive projects independentlyBased in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)About the Current FounderI hold a PhD in Chemical/Polymer Engineering with over 10 years of industrial experience in the polymer and materials sector.
