JOB MISSION: The Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's ESG strategy. They work to integrate ESG principles into the company's operations, investments, and reporting, ensuring that the organization meets its sustainability goals and complies with ESG-related regulations and standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ESG Strategy Development: Develop and update the company's ESG strategy, considering industry best practices, stakeholder expectations, and long-term sustainability goals. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees, and regulators, to understand their ESG concerns and interests. Oversee ESG implementation through ESMS. Environmental Initiatives:
Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities. Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint. Monitor and report on progress toward environmental goals. Social Responsibility: Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. Oversee social impact programs, including philanthropy and community engagement. Monitor and report on social responsibility initiatives and metrics. Governance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and regulations. Promote ethical behavior and corporate responsibility within the organization. Monitor and report on governance practices and ethics. Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and analyze ESG-related data and metrics.
Prepare regular reports and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders, including sustainability reports and ESG ratings. Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Investor Relations: Collaborate with investor relations teams to communicate the company's ESG performance and initiatives to investors and analysts. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with ESG-related regulations and reporting requirements, ensuring the organization's compliance. Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor ESG trends, benchmarks, and industry developments to adapt and improve the ESG strategy. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e. g. , environmental science, business, sustainability).
(5-7) years of experience in ESG management or a related role. Strong knowledge of ESG principles, standards (e. g. , GRI, SASB, TCFD), and industry best practices. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead ESG initiatives across the organization. Understanding of financial markets and investor relations is a plus. English & Arabic Language Fluency writing & speaking.
