Other duties will include CIHI month end submission and balancing, release of information and making corrections to the coding database.Qualifications And ExperienceGraduate of an approved Health Information Management Program.Active member in good standing with the Canadian College of Health Information Management Association.Two (2) years’ related work experience.Experience with Meditech, 3M and Code finder would be an asset.Excellent knowledge of coding and abstracting software and experience in the electronic health record environment as well as a paper-based system.Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws (e.g., PHIPA, Public Hospital Act).Skills And AbilitiesProficient in the use of ICD-10/CCI coding system.Demonstrated strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).Proven ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written English instructions.Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork.
