Gate gourmet, a gategroup company, the world’s leading provider of airline catering solutions and operates the most expansive and integrated catering network in the aviation industry, serving over 120 airline partners across continents Combining innovative menu design with operational precision, gate gourmet delivers consistent, high-quality onboard meals tailored to meet diverse passenger expectations ensuring a memorable inflight dining experience for the passenger journey.The RoleWe have an excellent opportunity within our Commercial Department at our Sydney Head Office based in Mascot.The Commercial Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of commercial airline customers, with emphasis on safeguarding and maintaining a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders and ensuring both the customer’s and our own business requirements are met. In this role you will optimise profitability to achieve budget targets by identifying, quantifying, developing, and delivering new business opportunities to drive revenue and EBIT growth targets, seeking to expand our base of aviation customers and opportunities in adjacent markets. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and compliance of each customer’s catering agreement is maintained, taking full ownership of the assigned customer portfolio.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing and owning the relationship between customers and the entire organisation and supporting the Commercial Director in the development and implementation of the commercial strategy.Identifying, quantifying, developing, and delivering new business opportunities to drive revenue and EBIT growth targets.Establish and maintain communications with all levels of Airline Management, including Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Finance, and Executives at all levels.Act as the conduit between customers and our business, to ensure operations and support functions are fully informed and deliver excellence.Full understanding of the allocated Customer Catering Agreements/Contracts.Responsible for accurate costing and pricing. Validation of Customer Data (Invoices, Pricelists, Menu's etc).Support invoice and respond to customers' queries on invoices.Collaborate with the Culinary Excellence team for menu presentations to develop menus in line with customer budget/pricing requirements, manage customer expectations and elevate the overall customer experience.Our Ideal Candidate will have:Proven ability to manage internal stakeholders to achieve sales, operational, financial, and other relevant goals, ideally within a complex, global, multi-site/country customer focused organisationDemonstrated experience with managing financials with budget, P&Ls, revenue targets etc. across multiple customers.Working knowledge of the airline catering industry or hotel/catering or other related service industry preferred.Knowledge of another language would be advantageous.Relevant tertiary qualifications preferredCurious and proactive - you’re a self-starter who asks questions, seeks clarity, and takes initiative to drive outcomesGate Benefits:An opportunity to join a global business that is undergoing exciting transformation as we expand into diverse markets.Free on-site parking & close to public transport.Dynamic and evolving work environment.Access to opportunities in challenging roles across the globe.
