Committed to mining, Avesoro aims to provide sustainable value to communities, employees, and stakeholders in the countries where it operates.Job Description:AVESORO is seeking an experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to oversee legal advisory processes across its international mining and construction investments.This role is crucial in ensuring the Group’s full compliance with local and international regulations governing its commercial and operational activities. It entails close collaboration with senior management on investment, procurement, and workforce matters, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts, managing legal and commercial risks, and providing strategic legal guidance across multiple jurisdictions.Key Responsibilities:Provide legal consultancy and strategic guidance on the Group’s domestic and international operations, including contract management, labor law, and regulatory complianceDraft, review, negotiate, and conduct risk analyses for international commercial contracts, including EPC, FIDIC, JV, SPA, procurement, sales, service, and leasing agreementsExamine the compliance of contracts, permits, and obligations related to overseas mining projects with the respective local legislation, and prepare legal opinions and recommendationsPrepare legal assessments and analyses related to licensing, permitting, and regulatory frameworks in new investment regionsManage and coordinate legal due diligence and restructuring processes for mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizationsRepresent the company in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution proceedingsDevelop and maintain internal policies, procedures, and contract standards in alignment with current legislation and international best practicesMonitor legal and regulatory developments, conduct impact analyses, and regularly brief management on potential implicationsContribute to internal training and awareness programs on legal compliance, ethics, and corporate governance.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Law and registered with the Turkish Bar AssociationAt least 6 years of professional experience in leading international companies or corporate law firmsAdvanced expertise in commercial law, contract law, and corporate lawProven legal advisory expertise in the mining, energy, or construction sectors, demonstrating a robust ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and deliver effective solutionsProficient understanding of compliance standards, labor law, and regulatory frameworks that drive effective organizational governanceExcellent command of English, and French; capable of interpreting and drafting contracts in foreign jurisdictionsStrong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with a solution-oriented mindsetProfessional maturity and ability to work effectively in international and multi-stakeholder environments.
