The Client and overview of the opportunity:My Client is implementing a new level of Middle Management across the business as they are ready to grow the business further. So far this year they've brought in Regional Construction Managers and now we're looking for someone to look after the Commercial Function in Dublin.The brief is simple - "Find us someone with the right background, who doesn't take themselves too seriously. They have to want to make a difference too.".I'm looking for either Senior QS (with management experience) who's looking to step up or someone who's already operating as a Commercial Manager (with management experience) who's looking for a new challenge. You can come from a Developer or Main Contractor background.They are an established-but-growing Residential Developer based in Dublin. They have landbanks across the Country and are known for building very high quality homes and apartments. Outside of the usual greenfield developments, they also take on unique restoration projects for old schools buildings, hospitals and churches and, usually, convert these into award-winning residential properties.As Commercial Manager, you'll based out of their Head Office and will work closely with MD, FD and Construction Director and in order to manage the commercial function. Current projects range from €12m - €30m. They have at least 5 years of work on their books right now, with a large site c.€75m in Dublin which they have planning for too.Requirements:Possess a proven track record of delivering Residential Construction projects to a successful completion for all parties.Level 8 Degree or High level Qualification in related subject8–20 years’ experience in a Senior Quantity Surveying/Commercial Manager roleStrong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of procurement, cost reporting, and contracts.Comfortable managing large-scale packages and working independently.Excellent communication, negotiation, and mentoring skills.Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.Experience with BCAR, Irish construction law, and cost management software is an advantage.What’s on offer?Excellent package with a basic salary DOE + Bonus, Vehicle/Allowance + negotiable benefitsWorking with a Director and Business Owners who want to see you progress your career and their business.Collaborative and supportive work culture with real autonomy and responsibility.As much support as you need to successfully complete your duties.Flexible working + really nice office space and good working culture.A decent challenge leading role on a long-term, multi-phase residential development.
