New business development | Strategic sponsorshipsMumbrella Media is hiring a commercially driven Partnerships Manager to accelerate revenue across digital platforms, event partnerships, and strategic sponsorships.This role requires a hunter mentality - outcome-focused, proactive, and constantly scanning the market for new client segments, untapped revenue, and commercial gaps. You’ll be out in the industry, building relationships, pitching solutions, and driving deals that fuel growth.You’ll work closely with the Commercial Director and collaborate cross-functionally with our content, marketing, and events teams to shape high-impact sponsorship packages, engage senior decision-makers, and deliver innovative, revenue-generating ideas that align with market needs.You must be based in Sydney and available for domestic travel as needed.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new client segments, proactively targeting high-potential prospects to expand Mumbrella Media’s commercial footprint.Lead digital and event sponsorship initiatives, securing high-value partnerships that drive revenue growth and elevate brand positioning.Drive new business development by actively hunting for opportunities, converting leads into long-term commercial relationships.Build and manage strategic partnerships, optimizing client portfolios to maximize lifetime value and commercial outcomes.Collaborate with the Commercial Director to design compelling sponsorship packages tailored to market needs and business objectives.Respond to briefs with creative, revenue-generating ideas that solve client challenges and deliver measurable impact.Define market segments and growth strategies, using industry insights to shape commercial models and unlock future opportunities.Craft bespoke commercial solutions that anticipate evolving market needs and maintain Mumbrella Media’s competitive edge.Represent Mumbrella Media at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings to strengthen visibility and build pipeline.Manage mid to senior-level negotiations across digital, events, and media platforms, securing strategic partnerships.Consistently exceed KPIs, identifying new sales channels and opportunities for sustained revenue growth.QualificationsStrong network within media, marketing, advertising, or publishing industries, with access to key decision-makers.Proven track record in B2B sales and commercial development, with success in selling sponsorships, digital advertising, and event partnerships.Minimum two years’ experience in new business development, sales, or a comparable commercial role.Understanding of the media and marketing ecosystem, with the ability to spot trends and translate them into commercial opportunities.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance client needs and business objectives.Based in Sydney, with flexibility to travel domestically as required.Proficiency with CRM systems and sales automation tools. Experience with Hubspot and Google Ad Manager preferred.
