Role overview:We’re seeking a dedicated Commissioning Automation Engineer to join our team at Stargate Hydrogen. You will take a leading role in on-site control system commissioning activities and support the programming of our electrolyser solutions. The environment is agile, and problems are solved in an unbureaucratic way.What does the day-to-day look like in this role?Conduct on-site commissioning activities of the electrolyser system in close collaboration with the Commissioning team and the Design team (Automation engineer and Control systems engineer).Collaborate with the Control Systems team to map out the electrolyser equipment and software requirements and to develop the value proposition.Develop high-level electrolyser plant concepts for various industries and applications.Present your designed solution to the stakeholders,articulating its technical and business valueDevelop cutting-edge automation solutions using PLC/IPC and HMI programming.Development of project-specific automation and testing documentation.Provide assistance throughout the offer process and detail technical specifications.Must-have qualifications:Background in automation engineering with substantial experience in a similar role.Background of control systems commissioningReadiness for periodic travel over extended periodsAbility to manage issues, troubleshoot, and debug.Experience in PLC/IPC programmingIEC 61131 programming languages (LD, IL, FBD, ST, SFC)Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3Safety PLC programmingTesting and validation of PLC/IPC programmesHMI programmingUtilising web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript)Experience with industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, Modbus RTU, etc.Ability to implement programming best practices, such as object-oriented or structured programming principles, to create clean and maintainable code.Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.Fluency in EnglishAbility to read and interpret P&ID diagramsNice-to-have qualifications:Experience in hydrogen-related projectsExperience with automation processes involving gases, liquids, and pressure equipment.Experience with SCADA solutionsConfiguration of variable frequency drives, like Siemens G120 and similar models.Why us?You will join a world-class team of 65+ experienced and goal-driven professionals and hydrogen technology expertsCollaborate with exceptional scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs who have previously built successful businesses.Advance your career whilst exploring professional development prospectsBeing part of the early team helping to build the company and cultureFlexible policy – organise your work between the office and remote locations to achieve the best results and enjoy flexible working hours.Employer health insurance or sports compensation.We are seeking candidates currently located in Estonia, Finland or EU.
