Founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1857, our mission is clear: to ensure every person, whoever and wherever they are, is served with excellent and compassionate care.St Vincent’s Virtual & Home (SVVH) leads our national virtual and at-home services, driving innovation, access and excellence in digital health.Your New RoleAs the Communications & Engagement Lead – National Digital Mental Health, you will lead how the Medicare Mental Health Check In service is understood, trusted and adopted by communities, health sectors and stakeholders across Australia.You will design and deliver integrated communications and engagement strategies that support service establishment and ongoing growth. You will work closely with clinical and operational leaders, government partners and St Vincent’s Communications, Media and Advocacy teams to ensure consistent, values-aligned and impactful messaging.This opportunity is open for Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane locations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and maintain national stakeholder mapping to identify and understand key audiences and engagement needs.Develop and oversee an integrated communications and engagement strategy aligned to government requirements, service priorities and SVHA brand standards.Lead engagement activities using multiple channels and modalities to drive awareness, trust and service integration.Partner with leadership to support strategic priorities through internal and external communications.Support marketing, advocacy and sector visibility through conferences, forums and external communications activity.Enable co-design and lived experience engagement across communities and service partners.Identify and amplify service stories, innovations and spokespeople to strengthen brand and positioning.Manage reputational risks and opportunities in collaboration with SVHA media and communications teams.Build strong sector relationships across mental health, primary care and community organisations.Establish and support a national network of communicators to drive collaboration and alignment across the program.Oversee brand compliance, messaging consistency and communications governance.Support crisis and issue communications planning and execution.Maintain compliance with privacy, legislative, accreditation and organisational requirements.EssentialAbout YouFormal qualifications in communications, media or a related field, and/or significant experience in health or mental health sectors.Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships and partnerships.Strong understanding of the Australian mental health and primary care systems.Experience developing and delivering communications and engagement strategies.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong influencing skills and ability to lead without formal authority.DesirableExperience working within government-funded or national health services.Experience working on large-scale service rollout or reform programs.Why Work for St Vincent’s?Mission-led organisation grounded in compassion, justice, integrity and excellenceSalary packaging benefits (up to $15,900 tax free)Hybrid and flexible work optionsSupportive, collaborative and purpose-driven cultureOpportunities for professional growth and developmentBecause you’re like us, you believe in our vision that every person, whoever and wherever they are, is served with excellent and compassionate care by a better and fairer health and aged care system.
