This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll support the delivery of the council’s communications and community engagement activity.You’ll help coordinate day-to-day engagement projects, support public consultations and events, and maintain our online engagement platforms and websites. From drafting clear and accessible content to liaising with residents and community groups, you’ll play a vital part in making sure people across Huntingdonshire have their say in shaping council services.This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in communications and engagement while working in a supportive team environment. You’ll gain valuable experience across communications and engagement, with the chance to see the real difference your work makes to local communities.About YouYou will be someone with a passion for communication and an interest in community engagement. Organised and proactive, you are comfortable balancing different tasks and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail. With clear written and verbal communication skills, you can produce content that is engaging and easy to understand.You will also be confident using digital tools and able to support updates to websites and online engagement platforms. Just as importantly, you enjoy working with people - whether that’s supporting residents at an event, collaborating with colleagues on a project, or building relationships with community groups. Adaptable and a strong team player, you’re ready to get involved in a wide range of activities.While previous experience in a communications, engagement, or customer-facing role would be an advantage, more important is your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering excellent service to our residents.An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK.
