This role sits within the Communications team supporting their leading small business accounting platform and their global email marketing/automation brand across Canada and Latin America.💼 The Opportunity: Communications Lead, Canada & LATAMWe are seeking a Communications Lead to serve as a strategic storytelling powerhouse for the Canadian market and provide key support for the burgeoning Latin American region. This is a critical, senior position focused on building brand credibility, controlling the narrative, and driving measurable business results through communications.You will be expected to bring a "magic mix" of strategic vision and hands-on execution—leading agencies, partnering with senior leadership, and defining the future of communications for two powerful global brands.Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesLead Canadian External Communications: Own the entire external communications strategy for the Canadian market, including corporate, brand, product innovation, and customer experience stories.Agency & Project Driver: Manage day-to-day operations and provide strategic briefs to the PR and Influencer Marketing Agencies of Record for both the Canadian and LATAM markets, driving projects from concept to completion.Strategic Storytelling: Develop hard-hitting, customer-centric, and data-backed stories, translating complex business goals and financial data into compelling narratives that resonate with Canadian media and small businesses.Integrated Campaign Management: Design and execute end-to-end, multi-channel programs, including strategic media relations, creative product PR, thought-leadership campaigns, and event communications (e.g., Calgary, Montreal).Influencer Program Leadership: Drive the full-funnel influencer strategy, setting the strategic vision and measurement framework for always-on campaigns.Stakeholder & Reporting: Work cross-functionally with marketing, social, and global partners (US, UK, AUS), providing sophisticated data reporting and measurable insights on PR and influencer impact to senior leadership.🌟 What You Bring (Required Experience)This is a senior role requiring a specific, dual-track background.Experience & Seniority: 10+ years of progressive experience in PR, Media Relations, Social, and Influencer Marketing.The "Magic Mix" Requirement: Must have a blend of both PR Agency experience (client service, fast-paced environment) AND Internal PR/Client-Side experience (brand ownership, stakeholder management).Influencer Expertise: Proven exposure to and understanding of Influencer Marketing, capable of setting strategy and creating briefs for B2B or consumer-facing tech brands.Storytelling & Narrative: Outstanding copywriting and verbal/visual storytelling skills with a track record of securing impactful media coverage in the Canadian landscape.Data-Driven Mindset: Experience in building measurement frameworks into communications programs and crystalizing business metrics into powerful narratives.Adaptability & Drive: A self-starter with a "test and learn" mindset who can navigate ambiguity and thrive as a fast-thinking project driver in a small, powerful team.🚀 Next StepsThis contract role offers a high level of responsibility and immediate strategic impact, along with the valuable opportunity for cross-functional exposure in the global tech space.If you are a bold, creative, and tenured communications leader ready to build credibility and drive narrative control for two market-leading brands, we encourage you to apply now.The target hiring compensation range for this role is 60/hr-80/hr depending on overall experience.
