Learn more about the Caterpillar Experience.The Customer Solutions Growth Regions Division is an exciting new commercial division that works alongside dealers to create, customize and adapt solutions to solve our customers’ toughest challenges by leveraging the extensive range of offerings available today across products and services, digital and technology, rental and used, and financing. The division is regionally focused on Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia, Asia (excluding Japan), and Latin America (LATAM).The ideal candidate will be skilled at building a strong network across a complex, global matrix to ensure effective communication of key business initiatives.What You Will DoStrategy Communications – Collaborate with division leadership to create communications plans and deliverables that are aligned to the enterprise, segment and division strategy and related initiatives:Develop and implement an annual internal and external communications strategy supporting the businessConsult with senior leaders, managers and employees on messaging using the power of words, images, sounds and multi-mediaAdvise on communication formats to ensure clarity and accuracy of messagingOwn internal employee communications including strategy, channels, tools and messagingPartner with division leaders to drive and deploy change management communications, ensuring employees and stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned throughout key transformation initiativesExecutive Communications – Serve as a strategic communications advisor to the division’s senior vice presidentDevelop and implement a communications strategy to establish the senior vice president’s voice to their employees and to promote the division across the enterpriseCreate effective communication strategies to be used across a variety of audiences including employees, dealers and external audiencesContributes to the overall strategic business goals and plans of the divisionDeliverables to Include – Communications strategies and plans; key message development; presentations for internal and external audiences; video scripts; internal articles; social media contentWhat You Have (Basic Skills Required)Strategic Thinking and Planning: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. Knowledge of effective communications planning techniques and ability to contribute to strategic planning in support of the overall business plan.Communicating Complex Concepts: The ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.Interpersonal Relationships: The ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; Defines and organizes the content and flow of a multi-media, multi-speaker presentation; Prepares complex presentations to large or critical technical and business audiences; Coaches others in all aspects of preparing and giving a formal presentation.Managing Multiple Priorities: Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.Copywriting and Editing: Able to effectively write, review and edit texts and documents.What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills)Experience delivering strategies and communications that effectively support change initiatives and alignment to organizational/business goalsExperience as a strategic communications advisor to C-level executives including writing communications and developing presentationsA proven ability to thrive within a complex, matrixed environment.Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related fieldAbility to create and tell stories through multiple visual mediums (graphic design, video, etc.)Additional InformationMust be able to travel up to 5% (Domestic & International)Candidates must be able to provide samples of work (writing, graphic design, video, etc.)About CaterpillarCaterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
